am i the only one who thinks shogun did not do enough to win the belt? also look at there faces. machida clearly got the better of shogun especially with the punches. it was a very close fight but machida did win, no doubt in my mind what so ever.

um, what does what you face looks like have to do with winning or loosing a fight? secondly, machida didn't not win that fight in most opinions. watch it again, he takes a beating. i don't understand why someone has to get beat up to take their belt. if you fight the better fight then you should be proclaimed the winner. if not then call it a draw.

um,,, i did watch it step by step, every exchange. if u watch every exchange u will notice that nine out of ten times machida gets the better of shogun with better shots to the face not just the body. shogun didn't even come close to finishing the fight but machida did. he couldn't take him down, nor vise versa, but machida did win a very close decision. i agree with the judges.

ps. watch the fight MORE closely then tell me that shogun did enough to take the belt. if u watch WITHOUT predjudice u won't be able to say that he did.

I guess it\'s more of a popularity contest. i watched the fight and Machida clearly got the best of the exchanges. people just don\'t recognize the fact that a tactical fighter vs a aggressive fighter often doesn\'t tell the truth. too bad people will talk smack because Lyoto did not knocked him out. I like shogun but he did not win. dana has tried very hard to stop lyoto from becoming champion. so far he has failed and he will fail next time also.
